20th ANNUAL JUBILEE FESTIVAL

FEATURES FUN AND FANTASTIC KID’S ART IN THE PARK

The 20th Annual Jubilee Festival, an Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce event, takes places on September 27 and 28. One of the special features about the festival is that it offers children of all ages the opportunity to experience arts and crafts in a rather unique way.

This year’s Kids Art at Jubilee Festival is sponsored by Sylvan Learning Center of Robertsdale and Daphne. The event offers highly creative hands-on art activities for youngsters to explore. Children will create fish prints, string beads, make wood sculptures ….just to name a few activities.

The City of Daphne has agreed again this year to allow the children to paint their own works of art on the fence in Centennial Park. The young Picassos add their own artwork to an already existing scene of sea creatures, which began in 1999 and will be a part of a collage that will remain on the fence year round.

The Kids Art at Jubilee Festival will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, September 27, noon to 4 pm on Sunday, September 28. Tickets can be purchased to participate in the many activities for a nominal price. Most activities require one or two tickets.
