The 20th Annual Jubilee Festival, an Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce event, is scheduled for September 27 and 28, 2008. The Jubilee Festival Organizing Committee is planning for a terrific event this year. Artists and craftsmen are currently being sought to participate in this year’s event. The juried art show of fine arts and crafts, takes place on Main Street (Scenic 98) in Olde Towne Daphne. There is no admission and the festival will be going on from 10 am until 5 pm each day.

This year the Jubilee Festival will feature more than 85 of the finest artists and craftsmen in the region. The Eastern Shore Chamber expects more than 37,000 patrons to attend this year. Those attending will also find a delicious assortment of festival foods.

Highly experienced judges will pick the best works in the show, and artists chosen as top in their category will win cash prizes. Artists are also recognized with the Art Patrons Award. Committee members and resident patrons announce their selection of work with special ribbons upon making a purchase. A total of $4,400 in cash awards will be given away.

The Kids Art at the Park project takes place in Centennial Park again this year. It is a great opportunity to provide children hands-on experience in learning and exploring their creative side. There will be 15 booths set up which includes activities such as fish painting, wood sculpture, puppet making, etc. Kids will also have a chance to participate in the fence painting activity.
