David Cooper Jr., who will turn 30 in August, is an up and coming businessman in southern Alabama. He is a graduate of UMS-Wright Prep. School and Birmingham Southern College, with a degree in Business where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
In 2004 David Jr. was King of Mobiles Mardi Gras. He has worked on the Docks during holidays and summer vacation since he was a high school student and Cooper-Wilkins Welding since he was in junior high school.
David Jr. has always loved working around the ports. He has spent the past few years as President and CEO of Cooper Restaurants and is currently associated with Cooper /T. Smith as Executive Vice President of Corporate Relationships, his family's maritime group of companies.
David is civically involved as a board member of the Child Advocacy Center, Bayfest, Coastal Conservation Association, Mobile Carnival Association He is member of Young Presidents Organization and Christ Episcopal Cathedral. His hobbies are boating and working with his black lab, Jubilee.
