Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects Opens a Gulf Shores Office to Better Serve Its Clientele

September 2019 - Fairhope, Alabama: Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects (WAV) is thrilled to announce that the firm has opened a new studio location in the Gulf Shores to extend the full-service Architecture and Interior Design services that they offer from their headquarters in Fairhope.
In WAV Architects’ 32-year history, the firm has completed more than 1,000 projects along the coastal areas of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. In looking to the future at how they can better serve clients in this three-state area, WAV principals first talked to their clients and builders in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach areas. They gathered from these insightful meetings that there is a continuing unmet need for better design and better client service in this area.
"As we’ve gotten to know the community more and more through our work on the new Gulf Shores City School system, we have also come to understand the need to ‘be present, and be local’ to better serve our clients in this area,” says Mac Walcott, a principal and founder at WAV. "Our Gulf Studio is designed to respond to these needs.”
The new Gulf Studio is located on the 3rd floor of the Kaiser Building in the midtown area of Gulf Shores. The 1,000 SF space has 3 offices and a large conference room, making it the perfect place for WAV team members to meet with their clients along the coast and have a space to work from the area.
"We are excited to have a distinct presence in Gulf Shores and we look forward to our continuing work with the community,” said Ryan Baker, a principal at WAV.
What needs will the Gulf Studio fulfill? Many. WAV is currently working on 10 different projects along the coast from Ft. Morgan to Ono Island. The Gulf Studio will provide a place to facilitate the firm’s client service in several ways:
- as a place to meet our clients who live along the Gulf Coast
- a place to design and perform administrative work for the local projects
- as a place to conduct our weekly construction meetings
- as a place that demonstrates our commitment to the Gulf Shores community
- as a place that allows the digital presence of our Fairhope Studio to be easily accessible to our client and contractors
"As one of the largest architectural firms in our coastal area, we are always searching for ways to improve our service reach and value to our clients,” said Abby Davis, a principal at WAV. "In community terms, this new location will allow us to be an active member of the Gulf Shores business community, so that we can better understand and respond to the specialized needs of the business environment here.”
