University Urology Welcomes Only Pediatric Urologist in South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. – USA Health is pleased to welcome pediatric urologist Paul Noh, M.D., FACS, FAAP, to University Urology. Noh is the only urologist in the southern half of Alabama who specializes in treating urologic conditions in children. His arrival helps to reestablish a needed service in the area, which until now required families to travel hours or out of state for specialty care.

"I strive to provide the highest quality care, as safely and effectively as possible, with a goal of improving the recovery experience for patients who undergo surgery,” said Noh, who will also serve as director of pediatric urology at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

Prior to joining USA Health, Noh was a urologist in the Division of Pediatric Urology at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center, where he helped achieve a consistently top-five-ranked pediatric urology program in the United States, as well as helped train future pediatric urologists. Noh was the director of minimally invasive surgery for the division and established the robotic surgery program at Cincinnati Children’s.

He is extensively published, in particular demonstrating the benefits of robotic surgery for infants and children, and has become a national and international expert in pediatric urological minimally invasive surgery. Noh has been invited to speak globally and has helped train other surgeons abroad, as well as help establish other international minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery programs.

Noh earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed general surgery internship and urology residency training at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, followed by a pediatric urology fellowship at Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Noh is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Society for Pediatric Urology. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group, the Society for Fetal Urology, the American Association of Pediatric Urologists, the Society of Urologic Robotic Surgery, and the Endourological Society.

He is board certified in urology and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology.

Noh is accepting new pediatric patients. University Urology is located at 3290 Dauphin St. Suite 301, in Mobile. To make an appointment, call 251-660-5930.
