United Bank Announces Ashley Wood as Vice President


Atmore, Ala. (UBAB) –United Bank’s President and CEO, Robert R. Jones, III, today announced Ashley Wood as Vice President.  In her role, Wood will work to build and expand customer relationships while cultivating partnerships in the Baldwin County market.

Wood is a graduate of the University of South Alabama where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Marketing.  A native of Baldwin County, Ala., she is a prominent volunteer in the community which fuels her passion for community banking. Wood began her banking career in 2012 at a local community bank where she was hired as a CSR Teller Floater before transitioning to Assistant Branch Manager and ultimately being promoted to Branch Manager. She has extensive lending experience, specifically focused in consumer and mortgage loans.

As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), United Bank is focused on aiding the surrounding communities. Wood’s passion for community banking contributes to this bank-wide focus. Her community involvement includes Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation (SFEEF) where she serves on the executive board, Prodisee Pantry where she volunteers and serves on the advisory council, and the Women’s Business Alliance of which she is a member.

In her more than five years in the banking industry, Wood has accomplished a lot. Most notably, she is a member of the Alabama Banking School graduating class of 2016 where she was honored with the prestigious acknowledgement of Salutatorian for her graduating class.
