USA Health University Hospital Names Director of Facilities Management

MOBILE, Alabama (10/22/2020) --

"University Hospital has a tremendous amount of work currently underway to increase capacity for patient care, and with more than 38 years of experience, Bobby has already proven himself to be a valuable member of the USA Health family,” said Sam Dean, University Hospital administrator.  "We are excited to have Bobby as part of our leadership team, and we want to thank Lawrence for his service and wish him well with his retirement plans.”

Stanford, a native of Mobile, has a long career in the healthcare field. Prior to joining University Hospital, he worked at the Mobile Infirmary in a variety of construction, facility management and maintenance leadership positions.

"With all that is going on, I hit the ground running when I got here,” said Stanford. "We have a great department, and we will work to build on their past successes as we support the hospital.”

In addition to the day-to-day facilities management activities, Stanford is supervising large ongoing projects including the Fanny Meisler Trauma Center expansion, conversion of academic office space on the 10th and 11th floors to clinical space, and completing the hospital’s storage facility.
