The Mill Celebrates Rebrand with Chamber Ribbon Cutting

FAIRHOPE, Ala. - The former Windmill Market is now "The Mill” and along with the new name, it has a new look & atmosphere. Owner Elizabeth Hammock invited the Chamber of Commerce in for a tour, open house and ribbon cutting.

The Mill is a family-friendly venue where food and fun co-exist. The Mill houses three restaurants. Cereal Killer serves creative brunch themed food. The Ox Kitchen has southern casual dishes such as the Ox burger, a fried oyster sandwich and chopped salads. Mary Ann’s Deli is known for their sandwiches and salads.

In addition to the three restaurants, The Mill also has an ice cream counter called "Sundae School” and a beer/wine/champagne bar called "Taps.”

The Mill offers indoor and outdoor games as well as regular live music.

The new owners purchased the property in April of 2018.  "When we learned of Mac and Gina Walcott’s intent to sell this landmark property, it was an opportunity that we could not let pass,” said Hammock. "We hope to build upon the foundation that they have already set, creating something meaningful for the Fairhope community.”

The rebranding of the venue to The Mill was a tribute to both its former name as well as the mill towns where owner Elizabeth Hammock’s parents grew up.

She describes The Mill as the type of place where we love to spend time with our family and friends, and she hopes others will feel the same.

Check out the updates and new atmosphere at 85 N. Bancroft Street in Fairhope.
