The City of Daphne’s commits $30,000 to support new birth center at Thomas Hospital

Fairhope, AL—The Thomas Hospital Foundation appreciates the City of Daphne’s incredibly generous commitment of $30,000 a year to support the new Birth Center at Thomas Hospital.

There are more than 400 employees who live in Daphne, but work in one of Infirmary Health’s facilities. Last year, 25,466 Daphne residents were patients at Thomas Hospital and 6,206 Daphne residents were patients in the Thomas Hospital Emergency Department in 2014.

With new residents choosing to live and grow their families in Daphne, the new Birth Center must be created in order to successfully serve the community. For Thomas Hospital, the new Birth Center will serve as a point of entry for the next generation of patients.

The Thomas Hospital Foundation Life… It’s Worth Giving campaign has raised $5.7 million towards the $6 million goal. We’re now entered the final push stage and need your help in raising the remaining $300,000. All gifts, no matter the size, make a big impact on making this much needed expansion a reality.
