SCORE Volunteer Recognized for 25 Years of Service


The South Alabama SCORE Chapter recently recognized Mr. Glenn L. Boom, Fairhope, for completing 25-years of volunteer service as a small business and entrepreneurial mentor.  Coincident with this service milestone, Boom assumed an Emeritus status within the Chapter and received the SCORE Platinum Leadership Award from the national Association.  The Platinum Leadership Award is the highest given and recognizes significantly meritorious service and contribution to SCORE.

Mr. Boom’s career includes Navy submariner, Shell Oil executive, president of both oil and grocery companies, and board member for several financial institutions.  As a certified SCORE mentor, Glenn has shared this broad experience with hundreds of small business clients.
