General Charles C. Krulak Speaks to Bayside Academy Students

Daphne, Ala., September 10, 2019 – Bayside Academy was proud to host General Charles C. Krulak on campus today. General Krulak spoke about moral courage to Bayside Academy Upper School students for an hour before taking time to read to kindergarten students.

General Krulak graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and has a Master’s Degree in labor relations from George Washington University. He served 35 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, with his last position as Commandant of the Marine Corps and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Previous command and staff positions include Deputy Director of the White House Military Office, Commanding General of the 6th Marine Expeditionary Brigade during Desert Storm, Commanding General of the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, and Commanding General of the Marine Forces Pacific.

During his military service, General Krulak was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star Medal, three Bronze Star Medals with Combat "V”, two Purple Heart medals, the Meritorious Service Medal, the French Legion d’Honneur Commandeur rank, and many other decorations and medals.

General Krulak is an advisor to the Center for Naval Analysis, Human Rights First and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades PK–12.
