Fairhope Christian Church Provides Service to Community

Fairhope Christian Church filled its new Community Blessing Box on Sunday, July 23, to help those in our community who are in need. Filled with non-perishable food items, paper products and hygiene items, the box is unlocked and available to anyone in need, free of charge day or night.

The box is on the Fairhope Christian Church campus, 349 Fairwood Blvd., directly across the street from the Fort Riel Armory. The church, through its outreach mission, seeks to find ways to make a difference  in the community and this box is the latest example of reaching out and providing for the needs of those in our community. The items in the box are available 24/7 and will continue to be restocked by volunteers.

Fairhope Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was begun in September of 1896 and served as the first church in Fairhope. It remains true to its earliest mission and believes its current tagline ‘Reach up to God, Reach into our hearts, Reach out to others,’ says much about the work it does in the Fairhope community. It is not a building, but a body of believers seeking God’s will for their lives.
