Fairhope Christian Church Offers Class on Celtic Christianity

Fairhope Christian Church invites you to explore Celtic Christianity and how it evolved and help inspire the Christianity practiced today. Former Pastor, Dave Lundholm, will lead this six-week study beginning Thursday, April 12, at 9 a.m. at Fairhope Christian Church, 349 Fairwood Blvd., in Fairhope. The free program will run through May 17 and is open to all interested.

From its introduction to Ireland until the Synod of Whitby in 664, Christianity developed in a very different way from its development on the continent of Europe. In this study, we will explore the route that Christianity took to come to the Celtic lands; the elements of Celtic culture that made it particularly open to the new faith; explore some key beliefs of the Celtic Christians; and seek to discover together how their approach to the faith can help Christians today to practice their faith.
