Eastern Shore Art Center Virtual First Friday Art Walk! 

In lieu of opening the galleries to a large crowd, the Eastern Shore Art Center is once again encouraging visitors to attend a live streaming event on their Facebook page August 7th at 6pm. The virtual event will include tours of the galleries, interviews with ESAC staff and board members, and a demo of how to participate in their latest fundraiser, ArtSquared. 

·      NEW EXHIBIT: ArtSquared. Online Art Auction. 25 local artists have each donated 12”x12” artwork to the event and exhibit, with all proceeds going to ESAC programming. Bidding is online between August 1-28. Artists include: PINKY BASS / WEEZIE BRABNER / MARY ANN BRECHUN / EDLYN BURCH / ADRIENNE CLOW / bj COOPER / JACK DAILY / DIANE LESTAGE-DAVIS / STACY HOWELL / LUCY HUNNICUT / BEN KAISER / MARY ELIZABETH KIMBROUGH / JIM LAUGELLI / JEAN-MARIE MCDONNELL / JUDY OXFORD / JO PATTON / CAT POPE / NANCY RAIA / STEPHEN SAVAGE / JANE SELLIER / JULIE SNIDLE / MICHELLE TRAUM / B’BETH WELDON / BRYANT WHELAN / GINGER WOECHAN. ·       NEW EXHIBIT: Fran Nagy "1,000 Mile Journey”. Nagy’s paintings and sculpture is inspired by her Native American heritage. "The content of this work speaks for thousands of people who were forced to make a journey down a path of assimilation.”

·       RETURNING EXHIBIT: Nall Collection: Alabama Art featuring Betty Sue Matthews. Matthews, 1944 - 2018, was a completely self-taught, Alabama "outsider” artist working in unconventional materials. Matthews’ work has been exhibited in the Smithsonian and the Rosa Parks Museum. All exhibiting work is for sale to benefit the Eastern Shore Art Center and Alabama Artists.
