2019 Preparedness Expo

Submitted by: Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency

To assist in serving our community, Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency has partnered with key stakeholders around the county to host the 2019 Preparedness Expo.  This expo is designed to help educate residents on preparedness, connect citizens with local resources and providers that may assist in planning for all hazards that may affect our community.
A few of the primary hazards facing our area are hurricanes/tropical weather, flooding, and dangers affiliated with severe weather.  Our goal for this event is to promote personal preparedness, property mitigation, and business continuity.  This event will also be a great opportunity to connect citizens with volunteer opportunities.
The day will include educational speakers from our National Weather Service as well as include the "Live Wire” demonstration from Baldwin EMC.
An educational preparedness publication will include information on key preparedness activities, protection measures for your property & business, clean-up and recovery, financial security measures, insurance, evacuation/re-entry, and disaster response services available to citizens in Baldwin County.
The 2019 Baldwin County Preparedness Expo is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 9am-5pm. The event will be held at the Orange Beach Event Center located at 4617 Wharf Parkway, Orange Beach, AL.
