Daphne, Ala. – Come participate in the Eastern Shore’s second annual Jubilee Race for Life, a Certified 5K and One Mile Fun Run held on Saturday, September 26 in downtown Daphne. The Frame Corner at College and Main is hosting the race’s starting point. The Post Race festivities will be held one block West on College at the Daphne Baptist Church field. It will include music, great awards, and food. The Grand Prize is a drawing among BIB number holders of a Gift Certificate for a Two Night Stay and Two Rounds of golf at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort. Drawing will be held immediately following the One Mile Fun Run. The Jubilee Race for Life is held each year during the Jubilee Arts and Crafts Festival in Daphne. A great way to combine fun, exercise and contribute to a great cause.
The proceeds from The Race help provide reconstructive surgeries and wheelchairs for needy children through the work of Bayside Medical Missions in Ecuador. The Jubilee Race for Life, “We run that others may walk.”
Day of race registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Post Race Festivities Field. The race starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. The map of the Certified Race is available on the website.
All runners will receive a race t-shirt. Awards will be presented 3 deep in all categories. They include especially designed pottery pieces by John Rezner, well-known Fairhope artist.
