Everyone is invited to attend this important event - Members and non-Members alike!  No other issue will impact South Alabama's burgeoning economy as the availability and affordability of property insurance. It affects everyone, from homeowners to business and industry. Proposals are being put forward at all levels of government in an effort to resolve this considerable problem. Speakers will address and discuss proposals at the state, regional and federal levels. Participants will learn about legislation to be introduced in the 2008 Session of the Alabama Legislature and status of legislation at the federal level, as well as an update on plans for a captive insurance pool.

Speakers include Alabama Insurance Commissioner Walter Bell, State Senator Ben Brooks, and State Senator and President Pro Tempore of the Alabama Senate Hinton Mitchem. A panel discussion will follow the speakers.
